Nanocrystalline tungsten oxide with different Mo doping content may be prepared by spray pyrolysis method. It is found that the grain size and surface roughness of the film increase with the increase of Mo doping content. In fact, the nanocrystalline structure and rough surface which are favorable for hydrogen ion transport are the key factors affecting the discoloration performance of tungsten oxide. The same is true for structural stability. Since these channels have good transmission reversibility, they can effectively reduce irreversible damage to the configuration during the migration of ions in the forward (embedded) and reverse (extracted) processes.
