Tungsten oxide, which may be applied for producing nano-ceramic dispersion solution, may be prepared by thermal decomposition method.
Preparation of Tungsten Oxide by Thermal Decomposition Method
An N2-inserted tungsten trioxide photoelectrode can be prepared by thermal decomposition of ammonium tungstate. And the product can be used for oxidation of water. The specific processes are shown as follows. H2WO4 was dissolved in 15NH4OH, and the solvent was evaporated, and then the obtained ammonium tungstate was heated under oxygen, after that, ammonium tungstate was decomposed into N2-inserted tungsten trioxide. The WO3/H2WO4 composite photocatalyst can be obtained by controlling the thermal decomposition time of the H2WO4 precursor.
The thermal decomposition method is a method to prepare a desired product by decomposing a precursor under heating. The thermal decomposition method has the characteristics of simple synthesis process, while it is easy to make the synthesized product has larger particle size. And it reduces the photocatalytic performance of the product due to high temperature in calcination process.
