Tungsten oxide nanopowder, which may be applied for the production of thermal insulation dispersion liquid, may be prepared by chemical precipitation method – a type of liquid phase method.

Preparation of Tungsten Oxide by Chemical Precipitation Method
The SnO2-WO3 powder can be synthesized by chemical precipitation method. Specific processes are shown as below. The sodium tungstate and the tin tungstate solution are uniformly mixed, and then the solution is slowly dropped into boiling dilute sulfuric acid, and the obtained precipitate is aged, then washed, dried and calcined to obtain the final product.tungsten oxide nanopowder applied for thermal insulation dispersion liquid picture
The chemical precipitation method is to synthesize nano metal oxide powder by using chemical reaction in a liquid phase, i.e., adding required amount of precipitant to a reaction liquid system to obtain a precursor precipitate, and then converting the precursor into nano powder by drying and calcination.

The main advantage of chemical precipitation method is that the reaction process is simple and the cost is relatively low, which is facilitating to industrial production; the disadvantage is that the obtained particles are often larger in size.
