The results show that the obtained yellow tungsten oxide film has an underwater oil contact angle of up to 155°, which reflects its good underwater superoleophobicity. By combining the superhydrophilic-underwater superoleophobicity of the yellow tungsten oxide material with the tiny pore size of the high mesh stainless steel mesh, the obtained yellow tungsten oxide film can effectively separate the layered oil-water mixture and the simple oil-in-water emulsion.
